The Brief
Our customers wanted to create an under-stairs storage area for coats and shoes to help keep their newly decorated hallway tidy and clutter-free, with a mixture of open and hidden storage.
The Solution
We designed deep drawers with space for the family’s shoes, hats and scarfs, with a paneled section above, in-keeping with the aesthetic of the home, with a number of hooks for coats and school bags. This was all sprayed in Selvedge Blue by Farrow & Ball to colour-match paneling in another area of the hallway.
Key Design Features
The drawers were built as high as possible to fit under the stairs, so as to maximise the internal storage space. They also include an extra internal drawer for hats and gloves, as well as deeper storage for shoes.
Top Tips
We can spray-finish all of our cabinetry in any colour you wish to match other aspects of you home. Here the under-stairs storage area mirrors the colour of the wall paneling on the opposite side of the hallway, creating a cohesive feel to the space.
